I then mentioned the original front desk employee said we would have a strip view room and sternly said it wasn't guaranteed. I called the front desk and the lady on the phone said views were not guaranteed. An hour later, we get a text that our room was ready and upon entering our room, the view was of the mountains and the highways. The gentleman said it was no problem and he would give us a view of the STRIP. Upon check-in, I mentioned to the front desk employee that this was our first time and we wanted a nice view of the strip. I booked my reservation with the "King Tower" room for myself and my wife. Having read other reviews and recommendations, The Mirage was suggested. Having never been to Vegas before, I wanted to get a nicer hotel but not so nice where it would break my wallet.
